So this is a quick update before Xmas about printed books etc.

Currently, most of you have received your Printed books, but unfortunately, some of you have not. There will be a delay in getting out the printed books that are left, but there are reasons.

When the campaign was launched postage costs were a lot less and I was planning on getting the books offset printed which would have kept the costs down, unfortunately, the printing situation and an increase in postal charges for parts of the world stopped this from happening and I ended up falling back into using DTRPG. The plan was then to send out those books which I could afford and hopefully sell enough books to then send out the rest, this did not go as planned.

Mid Year whilst I was sending out books my inlaws became ill which meant my wife would need to care for them, this also meant I had to help by having food delivered as my wife could not leave them and pay bills for our own home and theirs. This placed a strain on our resources. As you all know I am one person, doing this from my small flat. This went on until they passed a month later of cancer. At which point arrangements for funerals etc needed to be made.

On top of this, the UK has now entered a cost-of-living crisis with fuel and food prices rocketing, and I am now at the point of either feeding my family and keeping them warm or sending books to backers, and I am sorry but my family comes first.

As I said most of you have received your books which is great, and those still waiting will need to be patient. I will not be selling physical copies of the game until all backers have received their books, which is reducing sales but seems only fair. Also, I will be sending out PDFs for free to those backers still waiting as a consolation for the delay, once they are available ( I am planning another Blueprint pack, a mission and Ghost Ops Lite to come out before Xmas so you will receive those for free).

I apologise for this but this is the life of an indie designer and unlike other companies I will never ask for more money or just walk away from a project, just ask for patience.

So someone asked about how things were going which made me realise that I hadn't done an update in a short while so here goes.

As many of you know I was initially going to get the book offset-printed, which would have made the book cheaper, the other thing I had arranged was distribution which was also why I could keep postage cheap, much cheaper than other Kickstarters. Unfortunately, covid struck, printing became harder and everything was delayed. So because now I am sending everything via DTRPG the books are slightly more expensive and postage is a lot more expensive, for example, in Europe taxes and freight costs have doubled the postage cost, something I would have avoided as the books would have been posted in Europe originally.

On top of these increased costs, I have had the bereavements to deal with which have left us a bit strapped for cash, on top of which fuel and food bills have increased, basically, the past 2 years have nearly destroyed the business.

So why should you care and how does this affect you, well, why should you care, it's not your problem, but unlike other companies, I am not going to ask for more money. I honestly appreciate you and your support, I promised something and I will stick to it, I will also attempt to appease you with stuff like the upcoming book of blueprints I am releasing and all of you who pledged for printed books will receive for free, also the free Foundry VTT module for Ghost Ops when it is done. All I ask is that you are patient, you will get your books and every week more are sent out, I am basically using money from sales on DTRPG to do so which is why it is taking longer.

You have to understand I am just one person doing this and this is my main income, I am not a big company with pots of money, I can't afford a castle for example but I still pay my freelancers promptly :)

so thank you for your patience your books are coming.

So after the delay for funerals and so forth I will continue to send books out over the next week, this will now go a lot quicker which I am sure you are all happy to hear.

Sorry about the delay but it could not be helped but we are back on track now thanks for your patience it is much appreciated.
